2026 Redwood Coast FC (RCFC) Recreational Youth Soccer in partnership with American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO):

In AYSO Region 8029 all games are played at Beach Front Park in Crescent City, CA. All divisions focus on AYSO’s Six Philosophies of Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development, all while having FUN!!!

AYSO is a 100% volunteer organization. Each team has a registered volunteer coach. Teams participate in a season of weekly games held on Saturdays, as well as practices during the week for most divisions (exception U6). We welcome and encourage you to volunteer in some capacity for your child's team. If you are interested in volunteering to be a coach, assistant coach, or referee for your child’s team, AYSO will provide all necessary training as well as on-going local support. No prior experience necessary. Join the AYSO family, join the FUN, and help make sure all kids have the chance to play soccer in Del Norte County.

The number of players in each division will depend on the number of qualified volunteers that sign up as coaches and/or referees. Please note that placement on a team is not guaranteed, but you will be refunded your regional registration fees if your player is not able to be placed on a team.

YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER AS A COACH, ASSISTANT COACH, OR REFEREE AT THE END OF THE PLAYER REGISTRATION PROCESS. Please don't wait to sign up. In order for kids to play, we MUST have registered volunteers. There are NO PROGRAM FEES to volunteer.

All players will receive a uniform (shirt, shorts, socks) and a ball.

The $25 AYSO Annual National Player Fee is non-refundable. The credit card transaction fee is also non-refundable.

The $100 Regional Player Fee is non-refundable unless a program is not available for your child due to lack of volunteers, or other unforeseen circumstances determined by the Regional Board.

Regular Recreational AYSO CORE Program: Open to all players turning 4-16 (Aug 1, 2010- July 31, 2022)

U6 coed - August 1, 2020 - July 31, 2022

U8 coed- August 1, 2018 - July 31, 2020

U10 coed- August 1, 2016 - July 31, 2018

U12 coed- August 1, 2014 - July 31, 2016

U14 coed - August 1, 2012 - July 31, 2014**

U16 coed- August 1, 20210- July 31, 2012 ** (Waitlist only - no charge [register anyways] - divisions will open, waitlist will be activated, and payments collected once enough players/volunteers have registered)

**For players entering 9th grade in the 2026-2027 school year and planning to try out for the high school JV or Varsity soccer teams; playing the same sport for a different organization during the same season could affect your CIF eligibility. If you choose to register, also please consider your commitment to your youth soccer team, as prioritizing the high school team once their season starts will leave your youth team short-handed.

Season runs August through October 2026.
